As tomorrow is my last day in my hometown of Cairo, I took a large tour of the city today, visiting the last few friends I didn’t get to meet before, in order not to get lynched afterwards..
A few visits, hours of driving (and lots and lots of cursing) later, I was bumping through an older street of Heliopolis. Something then caught my eye that caused me to pull over, just for the sake of taking a photo of it with the same old crappy phone camera. This time it was not just another wooden sign with instructions for the very likely event of some obscure catastrophe, but rather a currency exchange bureau. “What’s so special about that?” you will ask. Behold:

People of Cairo, if you have no social life, a few friends that you just can’t get rid of through conventional means, or feel like giving your friends circle a drastic makeover, then this is just the place for you!
Again, I love my city!
The Sphinx
P.S. I’ve blacked out their phone number on the photo. Sorry to all Egyptian smart-@$$es out there who would’ve wanted to give them a call. I might consider giving it to you though, if you ask nicely ![]()

heh, well, not the most hilarious/idiotic shop sign you’d see in Cairo but still FUNNY. Gotta love this country!
I see you’ve jumped on the WordPress wagon. Cheers!!
I guess it was the urge for something new, and the “pages” feature that let me switch.
One aspect Blogger is much better at though, and that is layout designs/versatility. And the fact that you can edit your theme from the ground up as much as you want. For free
I think both are equally good services. I’m just here for now
hehe, good one. But if you think Egyptians are bad @ English, dig the Japanese..
